Partie de la Mer du Sud Comprise Entre les Philipinnes et la Californie
Two sea charts on one sheet showing the routes of La Pérouse and the Spanish galleons across the Pacific Ocean from the Philippines to California. Coloured.
Two sea charts on one sheet showing several routes across the Pacific Ocean from from the Philippines to California - one of the Spanish galleons from Manilla to Acapulco and the other of La Pérouse's route to Macao, showing the Sandwich Islands (now Hawaii), Monterey, and San Diego. Coloured.
Both maps go into great detail of the smaller islands found in the Pacific, and also cover the Philippines, Taiwan, the Marianas with Guam, and parts of Japan and Korea.
La Pérouse set sail from France in 1785 to continue the discoveries of Captain Cook. Published in "Atlas du Voyage de la Pérouse" (1797).
