Regni Norvegiae nova et accurata descriptio

Although it has been impossible to ascertain an attribution for this map, it is sourced from the 1716 autumn edition of the "Relationis Historicæ Semestralis Autumnalis Continuatio". This was the equivalent of a current affairs magazine published in conjunction with the openings of the spring and autumn Frankfurt Book Fairs. Geographically, it is based on the map by Jansson on the same orientation and its inclusion in the magazine is no doubt due to the Swedish-Danish conflict raging Scandinavia at this time. [SCAN2518]
