A vintage, pictorial map of Phoenix, Arizona and the surrounding Valley of the Sun designed for tourists and sightseers. The region's many attractions are illustrated in a simple, colourful style. These include golf courses, race tracks, shopping malls, gardens, hotels, and museums. On the back of the map are lists of attractions to visit in each the towns surrounding Phoenix, as well as a history of the city.
The illustrator, Boyé De Mente, was an author and journalist who spent decades in Japan and wrote over 100 books on the culture of Japan and East Asia. He also wrote numerous guide books relating to Arizona, Mexico, Hawaii, and Japan.
