Fine copper-engraved Dutch plan of London and its environs, based on John Rocque's 1746 celebrated map of the city.
Geographically the map extends from Hampstead, Hammersmith and Fulham in the west to Wanstead, Epping, and Woolwich in the east. The Thames is handsomely situated in running through the centre of the map, and major parks and estates have been beautifully landscaped. The extent of the City of London has been marked with hatchuring.
Original hand colour. [LDN6628]
