A New Map of the County of Tyrol and the Republic of Venice
Detailed map of northeast Italy, namely Tyrol, the Veneto, Trento, Mantua, and Brescia. Lake Garda and the Italian/Austrian Alps feature prominently. When this map was published in 1811, these regions were part of Napoleon's Kingdom of Italy, a short-lived entity used by Napoleon to govern his conquered territories in northern Italy. The Kingdom was founded in 1805 and lasted until the fall of Napoleon in 1814. This being a British map, the Kingdom of Italy is not officially recognized in any way on the map. Original hand-colour.
