Ichnographia Urbis Tuscia Primariae Florentiae
Beautiful full colour example of the Hommans Heirs city plan and prospect of Florence, "the foremost city in Tuscany" as per the title.
The plan clearly shows the city walls as well as the citadel on the left next to the key. The coat of arms of the Medici family are prominent on the upper right and below is the famous prospect, the combination of map and view pioneered by Johann Baptist Homann, founder of the firm.
Unsually, both map and plan have been illuminated with original hand colour. [IT3401]
