An enormous six-sheet folding map of the Dutch East Indies, now Indonesia. The map also includes Malaysia, Singapore, Borneo, Brunei, and parts of New Guinea. Small insets in the lower-left corner show the Netherlands and its other colonies at the same scale to give the reader a sense of the enormity of Indonesia. A large, decorative title cartouche makes up most of the north-eastern sheet, including a dedication to Isaak Wilhelm Walther, Governor of the Dutch Royal Military Academy.
