Large, charmingly illustrated map of California in vibrant colour published by the California Wine Advisory Board to promote California's wine regions to a wider audience. Many large illustrations show happy men and women producing, drinking, and celebrating the state's wine. There is a list of the major wine-producing towns in a large cartouche drawn to resemble a wine barrel in the lower-left corner. The upper and lower borders contain quotes from famous authors and philosophers about the benefits of drinking wine.



Drawn by Ruth Taylor, a Californian poster artist active in the 1930s & '40s. The date of publication is estimated as none is printed on the poster.
