Partie Orientale de la Nouvelle France ou du Canada
Extremely distorted map of the eastern part of Canada from Lake Ontario to the east coast.
The map was originally published by Lotter's father-in-law, Matthias Seutter. Of particular note is the large, illustrated cartouche on the upper left, incorporating cod fishing, flora and fauna, surveys by the two major powers of the land, France and Great Britain and multiple classical figures including Poseidon, Hermes and Demeter. Original hand colour. [CAN2034]
