Folding wall map of the central and southern part of the continent including Kenya, Tanzania, DRC, the Republic of Congo, South Africa, Malawi, Botswana, Namibia and Zambia among others.
The map was published in 1916 and among several points of geographical interest is the indication that the area of German East Africa or modern Tanzania is being marked as British. Another interesting feature is the developing railway system initiated in South Africa and going into modern Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibia.
The map is promoting the Union Castle Line as a method of travelling to the region and there are multiple period adverts on the border.
Printed colour. SL [AFR5856]
