Dr. Livingstone's famous crossing of Africa (the first by a European) from Luanda, Angola to the mouth of the Zambezi River in Mozambique.
This is one of the greatest of all African journeys of exploration. During its course, Livingstone, together with his wife and William Oswell became the first Europeans to in the modern period to reach the Zambesi River and the Victoria Falls.
