The map details Haifa and its environs, following the coast north to the Lebanese border. It shows major roads, topographical features and the cultivation of the area. It was part of the Survey of Palestine, with the initial survey of the region conducted in 1924-34 with updates to 1942 by the British during World War II. Further additions are noted in Hebrew below these initial dates showing new infrastructure and settlements initiated by the Israeli government. These date to 1955 and 1960. Among these new additions are settlements, roads and railways. The government additions are printed in purple and keyed in the same colour on the lower margin of the map.
