This splendid folding map of Sweden and Norway is decorated with the coats of arms of 57 Norwegian and Swedish cities and provinces, as well as the Royal coats of arms of both countries. Simple outline colour is used to delineate the province boundaries. The first edition of Ström's map was published in 1846 - it featured a similar decorative border, but had a different title with a circular border and included a key in the lower-left corner. This is the second ("much improved") edition with a larger, more elaborate royal coat of arms at the top of the map.
