Zurichgow et Basilensis Provincia
Northern Switzerland between Basel and Zurich. This is one of a series of regional map of Switzerland produced by Blaeu. Fundamentally, the geography was based on the maps produced a few years earlier by the Hondius family who in turn based their maps on those of Mercator. On the map of the whole of Switzerland from the series, Blaeu states that he has used Mercator's geography. Original hand colour. Dutch text on the reverse.
