The World from the Discoveries & Observations made in the Latest Voyages & Travels
Double-hemisphere world map showing the state of European knowledge at the start of the 19th century. The discoveries of James Cook in Australia and New Zealand, as well as those of George Vancouver in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest of America, are the most prominent updates. The geography of northern Canada and of Japan and Korea are still quite inaccurate, and other than a small sliver of South Sandwich Land, Antarctica is still entirely unknown. Coloured.
