L'Allemagne
Charming map of Germany, or the Holy Roman Empire, which included the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, and Czechia. Based on a map first issued by Pieter van der Aa in 1713, but here republished in Amsterdam by the firm of Covens & Mortier.
The map is decorated with a title cartouche featuring a German soldier in full battle armour, his shield bearing the arms of the Holy Roman Empire. Behind him are a group of siege tents.
