Extraordinarily detailed folding chart of the Thames detailing the river between Barking Creek and Hole Haven. Two maps on one sheet..
. The first map details the river between Holehave on Canvey Island, Essex to Tilbury Docks, while the other focuses on Tilbury Docks to Barking Reach. A large inset shows detail of Tilbury Docks. While the geography would have been based on the plans produced by the Port of London Authority, Imray Laurie Norie and Wilson are an amalgamation of eminent British commercial chart makers who between them have centuries of experience in mapmaking and they have produced their own version of these important charts of the wharves and docks of the Thames. Printed colour. Folded [LDN6389]
