Folding wall map of the United States east of the Mississippi showing the railway network during the Civil War.
This is one of a series of maps published by Lloyd during the Civil War in this format. They were continuously updated and must have been very successful as this particular example is the "European edition" published in London, stated on the map. Lloyd also seems to have been quite the marketeer as he prints panels of text on the lower right of the map, quoting orders for sales from Gideon Welles, Secretary of the Navy and Adam Badeau, Military Secretary of General Grant's Staff. Original hand colour. Folded. [USA9085]
