NordAmerica
Unusual map of North America which divides the continent according to the drainage basins of its great rivers.
This is a very unusual thematic map of North America which shows the drainage basins of the great rivers of the continent. It is a physical map with no geo-political detail. Rather the focus is on the names of the great rivers and their tributaries. The continent is broadly divided into the basins of the Mississippi, St. Lawrence, Mackenzie, Saskatchewan, Columbia and Colorado Rivers. The colouring corresponds to the oceans or seas into which the rivers outflow. A small key is present on the upper right.
Original colour. [AMER2150]
