Western Australia | Van Diemen Island
Two maps of Western Australia and Tasmania published together on one page. Both are based on surveys and manuscripts from the Colonial Office. Early county boundaries are marked on the Western Australia map even though very few settlements had been established by this point.
Published by the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge (SDUK), a high-minded Victorian organization dedicated to making educational materials available to all classes of 19th-century British society.
Original colour. [AUNZ2847]
