Map to Illustrate the Paper on : The Cape to Cairo Railway & Train Ferries
After the Great War the British Empire was at its peak. This map shows the territories under British rule in Africa and the proposed railway line that would span from the Cape up to the estuary of the Nile. Though military and politically a great proposal, Great Britain was in a post war economic state. This was too great a technological and industrial challenge. [AFR5645] (BC)
