Map of Part of Patagonia
Detailed map of Patagonia from modern day Rancagua (Chile) and Buenos Aires (Argentina) south to Isla Granda de Chiloé and Trelew. To illustrate a paper by Welsh explorer and livestock merchant Henry Libanus Jones (1786?-1861).
Originally a deserter following the disastrous British Army's during a failed attempt to take Buenos Aires in 1806, adventurer Jones first surveyed the Argentinian coastline of Patagonia, later establishing a company with the intention of finding and founding a successful cattle ranch.
