Description:
This early folding pamphlet map of the London Underground is one of the first to use the now-iconic 'UndergrounD' branding. This logo was brought in by the UERL (Underground Electric Railways of London) in 1908 to help market the separate lines as a single, coherent rail network. The lines are shown geographically in contrast to today's schematic layout. Places of interest to visitors are marked in yellow with red names. These include famous tourist landmarks, the Exhibitions at Shepherd's Bush and Olympia, and even football grounds.

Printed colour. [LDN6451]
