James Wyld
60 x 87 cm
Nice example of Wyld's splendid folding map of Australia. First published in the early 1830s, it proved extremely popular and was regularly updated and re-issued. This is one of the later examples. It shows the far more developed infrastructure on the continent, such as a railway running from New South Wales to Victoria and a telegraph line laid south to north. A seminal map. Original colour.
