Attractive county map of Surrey by the cartographer to the Postmaster General, accurately plotting England's roads.
This is one of the most appealing of large, Regency maps of Surrey, produced by Cary while he was also working on a new edition of Camden's "Britannia". He based the geography on his own extensive surveys which he made over decades in the late 18th century while he worked for the Postmaster General.
