Large detailed vintage map of the north coast of Cornwall, focusing on the area of Newquay and Padstow.
This map is an oddity. It is based on the Ordnance Survey with a large imprint stating so on the upper left corner. However, a smaller imprint of the O. S. on the lower right corner has been crossed out at time of publishing and the imprint of the War Office and the Air Ministry has been added on the lower left. Air grids have also been overprinted on the map.
Finally, although this map was commercially available, presumably as an Ordnance Survey sheet, the price and formats available have also been crossed out on the lower right, suggesting that this version had been withdrawn from commercial availability.
