This poster was designed by the renowned French poster artist Lucien Boucher. It is one of a series of superb posters designed by Boucher for Air France from the 1930s to the 1960s. Constellations are a common theme in Boucher's 'planisphere' posters, but this is one of the most striking uses of this motif.
