There were eight major crusades from 1095-1270AD. The Christian Kingdom of Jerusalem was established after the First Crusade in 1099.
A large panel on the lower right chronicles the Christian Kings of Jerusalem from Godfrey of Bouillon, the first King, to John IV who died as a child in 1474. The Crown then became nominally Venetian although the Kingdom had been unofficially absorbed into the Egyptian Mamluk Sultanate many years previously.
