The Holy Land during the classical period. The region is divided according to Roman sources.
This is Wilkinson's rendition or the region of modern Palestine, Israel, Jordan and Lebanon as it was in the classical period. The divisions marked are taken from Roman sources and many of the place names and locations are taken from Biblical studies. Oddly, Jerusalem is not marked although Bethlehem is.
