Beck’s second wartime pamphlet map of the London Underground with the red Schleger cover on the reverse showing the locations of central London stations. The planned extensions to the Central and Northern Lines are no longer present as these extensions were put on hold during the war. The tunnels for the eastern extension of the Central Line had already been dug at the start of the war and were used for secret war purposes, including the manufacture of electronic components for aircraft.
