This is an unusual map of the now no longer extant county of Middlesex. This area now forms part of Greater London.
These old maps of Middlesex are very interesting as they show the relative distance between areas which are now considered to be part of London but in the 17th century were most definitely outside the city. These included the villages of Hampstead, Highgate, Kensington, Chelsea and Ealing among many others.
