The Golden Gate International Exposition was a "World's Fair" held to celebrate the completion of two bridges, the Golden Gate and the Oakland Bay Bridge. It was also used as a promotion for San Francisco as an international port.
Although dated 1939, this example bears the addition of (17) Yacht Harbour on the key, dating it to a 1940 example.
