This month, The Map House are featured in xyHt Magazine. Our spectacular Athanasius Kircher copper-engraving, “Systema Ideale Pyrophylaciorum”, was selected for their article discussing Maps as Art.
This magnificent work is dated 1664 and explains Kircher’s theory of Volcanology. It is an important early black and white diagram explaining that the Earth has a molten core.
