George W. Bacon
31 x 46 cm
This is an update of an earlier four sheet plan of London issued by the Bacon firm from the early 1890s onwards. The colouring has been substantially lightened, making the map easier to read. The urban railway network, both underground and overground, is shown in red and the extent of the city has been broadened.
Geographically, the sheet now includes Kentish Town, Highbury, Islington, Clapton and Stratford. It stretches from Regent's Park in the west to West Ham in the east and Stamford Hill in the north to the northern bank of the Thames.
